HOW TO PLAY
From clues to victory: Learn the ropes!
The average course is approximately 1.5-2 miles and average completion time is 2-2.5 hours. Explore the sites while taking your time or try to beat the current course record. Best of all, it’s just your group, so you can see the city your way and make unforgettable memories!
As you solve riddles on your outdoor journey, you will gain the “keys” to the city that will help unlock the puzzles along the way. Once you’ve solved all 13 keys and unlocked the locks, your adventure is complete!
Book Your Game
- Choose your adventure and book a game online. Select the time window when you’ll be in the city your are going to play.
- A live host will connect with you after you book for any questions you may have.
Receive Your Gear
- Get your gear by meeting a host in person at a designated point.
The Gear
- The Explorer Series contains stories, directions, puzzles and answer sheets, a compass, a clipboard with a pen. Some kits are also equipped with special tools, such as a cipher and decoder to solve puzzles and locks.
- The Escape Artist Series contains stories, directions, puzzles and answer sheets, a compass, a clipboard with a pen. It’s also equipped with special tools, such as a cipher and decoder to solve puzzles and locks.
Starting The Adventure
- You’ll receive instructions the day of your play window from your host.
- After meeting your host, you’ll navigate to your start location and begin by reading the Clue Kit carefully and follow the directions.
- Flexibility: Play at your own pace, take breaks whenever needed, and fully immerse yourself in the experience.
Navigating The Locations
- There are 13 Key locations you need to find and answer each question.
- Use the compass to navigate around town.
- Your are connected to your live host on the Hub via text any questions.
Solving The Puzzles
- At each location, find the required items or answers.
- Some games you’ll need to use the Decoder or Cypher to get clues for the next lock if the answer is correct.
Checkpoints
- Along the way, there are several checkpoints where you will take fun, creative, or silly pictures.
- Send these pictures to your host to confirm your location.
Host Assistance
- The host stays connected with the team captain throughout the game.
- They provide additional clues, hints, and information on local places to see, eat, and shop.
Finishing The Game
- Once you’ve completed the game you’re host will go over all the answers to see how you did and answer any questions you may have.

- Enjoy the Journey: Take your time to explore and soak in the sights. The game is designed as an experience to be both fun and educational.
